ABOUT VIDHI PARIVARTAN

Vidhi Parivartan is a legal platform that seeks to hone the skill-sets of all the budding lawyers, aid the law students in all possible manner by optimum utilization of resources available at their disposal and thereby empower the legal fraternity eventually. The platform aspires to undertake host of short, medium and long-term activities and programmes for the legal community to enhance their professional, academic, extra-academic progression.

It’s committed for the cause of empowering especially the first generation lawyers who face innumerable hardships in the profession. Moreover, it aims to live up to its motto of ‘Nyaydaanam Shreshtam Daanam’ through every activity that it undertakes.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Judgments play a vital role in our legal system, where they act as precedents and carry the law for the future to be studied, analyzed, and evolved. Therefore, it is important to critically read the judgments and be properly acquainted with them to make sense of the current laws. However, reading the judgments is not always easy, considering the complex language used by the judges, along with the length of the judgments spanning over pages, and often repeating a single point in multiple ways.

This workshop shall help you in reading, understanding, and interpreting the judgment in the most efficient and targeted manner, and shall help you in getting the best output in limited time and efforts. Further, this workshop shall help you in writing judgments based on your comprehensive analysis of the facts and law involved and set your precedents in a language understandable by all.

Our motivation to conduct this workshop lies in helping individuals understand the law in an effective manner, and to help them against their fear of reading and writing judgements due to the practical problems involved. The workshop shall provide you with practical exposure and help you in your pursuit to becoming a master judgment reader and writer.

FACULTY-CUM-TRAINER

Adv. Nabila Zehra, Legal Associate at Patfrigate IP Law Company, Delhi

She completed her B.A. LL.B. (2013-2018) from Aligarh Muslim University and LLM in IPR (2019-2020) from Mangalayatan University. She is currently working as a Legal Associate at Patfrigate IP, which is Delhi Based Law firm dealing in the matters of Intellectual Property.

Her work experience includes interning at the District Court of Aligarh from 2013-2018. In 2018, she worked at Equity Lex Associates (Supreme Court: Chambers of Salman Khurshid, worked under the guidance of Adv. Imtiyaz Ahmad) and in 2020, she worked at the Dar-ul-Huqooq which is a Dubai based law firm, wherein she worked virtually under the guidance of Adv. Abul Wahied. Further, she has participated in and won various competitions during her law school.
